Just because it has some of the same visual element and gameplay as borderlands does not equate to it being close to what borderlands was
This game seems to be taking itself way too seriously and I'm not seeing the point of it. It's supposed to be a space epic, yet they have not shown anything epic about it
Of course it is all my opinion
just got done reading this and it echos a lot of the same sentiments I had while still being overly cautious that this is but a small sliver of what bungie has shown us and so it is a bit too premature to classify it as just a boring game
Earlier this month, I got a chance to fly up to Washington and try Bungie's upcoming sci-fi shooter, Destiny. Walking through the Bellevue office for the first time, I'm struck by all the accolades lining the walls near the reception area. Here, a giant, life-sized statue of Master Chief stands tall, casting a shadow.

I'd imagine when the folks here get together online to play this, there's gonna be nothing but grab-assery and seeing who can look the coolest doing the dumbest shit.
You could set your watch to it.Comment

"maybe it's just the fast paced action" I was using it as a frame of reference for my explanation as to why I thought it was boring. I never said the game would suck or that it was a horrible concept, I was just baffled that you guys could get excited over that particular showcase of game play.
proceed with the circle jerk comments about the game though don't mind meRIPComment

Look at the context of what I said

I just had 30 minutes hands on with Destiny. This game might have the Halo jump in it but it doesn't remind me of it other than that. The weapons and skills system is solid. The graphics, of course, are digital velvet. Day 1 purchase for meComment
