Madden NFL 13 Title Update #4 coming 11/29

Madden NFL 13 title update #4 is coming tomorrow, 11/29 for both the PS3 and 360 console versions. It appears that most of the fixes are geared towards MUT with a few CCM updates also included. There are rumors of another announcement coming this week on the Madden '13 front but not sure what they are at this point.

Here's what to expect with the update tomorrow-

• Fixed bug where Connected Careers panel in main menu is blank
• Fixed exploit in Madden Ultimate Team Solo Challenges where players were using frozen kick meter to run out the clock
• Fixed issue in Panthers playbook where Shotgun formation was properly displaying
• Fixed squib kick exploit
• Fixed exploit that allowed MLB to get instant pressure when in a specific position with a specific coverage called
• Fixed bug when reviewing a friend's depth chart in Madden Ultimate Team
• Fixed erroneous screen telling Madden Ultimate Team players EA servers were unavailable when an opponent signed out before progressing to the loading screen
• Fixed issue where replaying completed Solo Challenges in Madden Ultimate Team consumed contracts
• Fixed issue where Connected Careers offline depth chart would reset after each game when player used imported My Madden roster
• Fixed issue where users could not save edits to existing NFL players whose names were flagged as profane.
• Fixed exploit where Madden Ultimate Team users who were kicked out a match for grieving were still granted 800 coins
• Fixed a menu display bug in Madden Ultimate Team matchmaking screen

How is it that there are 4 patches for this game? Unless this is all new code (and I haven't followed Madden in 3 years becuase of the bugs), how is this game patched 4 times - is there any UAT taking place?

And then what happens w/ the Xbox 720 (or whatever it'll be called)? Madden will take ANOTHER step back becuase the developers will say "we're just learning how to code for this hardware". Ridiculous. Everyone better go get a copy of thier "wishlists" starting all the way back when Madden changed platforms - you won't have to rewrite them, you can just repost the old ones!! .....4 patches? Really? Do they fire the development team each year and hire all new people?

its hard to say if Madden is good, great, bad, sub par because there is nothing out there to compare it to. If there was another NFL game out there that included a lot of stuff that Madden leaves out it would show how ugly it really is.

I'm not one to defend madden or ea. Hell I don't even really like the new madden all that much because its obvious shit that sticks out as wrong in the game and nothing is done to fix it.

The problem is gaming as it is these days is hella over complicated. There is so much going on now its simply not possible to ship a full game without a lot bugs in such a small devolping time frame. You have a bunch of different modes going on like online and offline career and inside of that you have player and coach career. Then you have that madden card game thing (I dunno who plays that bs ) normal 1v1 team play ect ect. It's a lot of shit and a lot of problems that piss people off. You look at something like madden 04 or 05. They have franchise mode and online 1v1 mode with madden moments. Thats it. They weren't throwing roster updates out every week and they had time to sit down and look at different problems.

They really should think about doing a 2 year cycle on some of these games. I know money wise they would be losing an absolute shit ton but at this point I think EA trying to push the one year agenda constantly just isn't working and at some point they have to start taking hits in sales.
