Also, if this is MGS related, something to consider is what happened to Project OGRE? or is this the same thing?
EDIT: If you look at the title at the end, "METAL GEAR SOLID V" appears to be on top of the letters. Thus making this Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

I feel like this might not even be a full game. That's a lot of trailer for everything to be taking place in what looks like one building. Maybe a PSN/XBLA game in the MGS universe.Comment

Doubt they would go for it but they could go Alt. Universe like Metal Gear Ac!d and say it's one of the Snakes and still not have it be "canon."Comment

If there's one thing we all know should know about Hideo Kojima by now, is that the dude has no fear when it comes to implementing his crazy ideas/stories into MGS. Let's not forget he pretty much turned the MG community on its head when he swapped out the MAIN CHARACTER in MGS2. You can't really put anything past him, but you always know he really enjoys and communicates with the MGS community. He loves doing riddles, hints, sneak peaks, etc. Always has. But the dude consistently puts out quality. Always looking to make things better and one up himself. The only thing that has really held him back in the past, is the limits of the hardware. Now that these machines are getting exponentially better, so will his games & idea implementation. Also the man has always been an innovator and loves trying something different.
EDIT: All things being equal, I also wouldn't put it past him if he used the MGS hype machine to push a new franchise, and I wouldn't blame him for doing so. But I think this ties into the MGS Universe at least.

Hideo Kojima's latest game, Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes, attempts to tackle a lot of taboo and mature themes, so much so that the creator is unsure if he will be able to release it in its current form.
"Video games as a medium haven't matured very much at all in the last 25 years," explained Kojima at a round table interview conducted today. "It's always about killing aliens and zombies. Not that I don't like those kinds of games... they are fun, but I think games have a long way to go before they can mature.
"Over the past 25 year I have tried to work with the Metal Gear series to introduce more mature themes, but really it hasn't gotten there yet. Compared to movies and books it still has a long way to go.
"That's precisely what I want to try to tackle with Ground Zeroes. Honestly I'm going to be targeting a lot of taboos, a lot of mature themes that really are quite risky. I'm not even sure if I'm going to be able to release the game, and even if I did release the game then maybe it wouldn't sell because it's too much. As a creator I want to take that risk."
He concluded: "I'm approaching the project as a creator and prioritising creativity over sales."
Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes is without a release date, but was announced as coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
I'm interested to see what these themes are. PTSD? Child soldiers?Comment

There's supposed to be something about this on GTTV tonight.
This should be interesting: Heading off to interview Moby Dick Studio Head CEO Joakim Mogren.
The Mogren interview will be on GTTV this Thurs night. He said he has something new to show me.
EDIT: Another trailer coming at GDC.Comment

They just showed a trailer at GDC. I'm a bit confused whether Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are separate games still or if they've been combined.Comment
