- If I know someone has a faster car but is a worse driver I just let them go by and sure enough they will end up in the grass soon enough.
- On the other hand if I know someone is clearly faster than me then I also let them go as I won't catch them anyway and they will probably take me out trying to pass me cause nobody has any patience.
- Avoiding contact is the number one thing to finishing in the top 5.
- I am more concerned with the boneheads behind me than anyone in front of me.
All in all when you are in crash lobbies the top 2-3 place finishers are usually the faster drivers and the 4-6 are the people who avoided wrecks and everyone else is just a crap shoot.Comment

I played some more of this last night. I made sure to try to adjust the assists accordingly. I truned the difficulty to medium and left only brake line on. I think I still need to use the traction assists though. But at least now I don't feel like the CPU is driving the damn car for me.
I do see what JMS is talking about now. It's completely ridiculous that they start you in LAST place every race, especially when most of the Drivatards (spelled that way on purpose) drive like absolute imbeciles. The car that starts out in first is basically impossible to ever catch up to, no matter how well you drive.
Also, I'm sure it's one of your early cars Pepper, as I'm still in the first set of races and still using my first car, but the car your Drivatard is always using is hideous. That gold paint job looks just plain bad.Comment

I'd like to welcome racers to come join Apex Racing this coming Sunday. We're running B-class American cars, so there should be a car there to suit your style whether it's powerful muscle or great handling compacts. Since it's B-class, we should see some real good, clean racing.
More racers that come, the more fun the night ends up being. We have all levels of racers, so don't feel intimidated to race with us.
Race night thread - please post in there if you want to race on Sunday:

i never have used a gold paint job and i always use some sort of design and not just a plain paint scheme. I think i recall someone else saying that jms was using a regular paint scheme which he never does either that ive seen so I think the cpu just uses a generated schemeComment
