My post was explaining that Sony's system comes with a dirt cheap headset so they can keep costs down. It has nothing to do with Microsoft or one earphone.

I don't think anyone is expecting a quality headset. Both systems will have crappy headsets packaged with them. It's what the 360 did, it's what will happen this time around on both ends.

E3 2013: PS4 Outpacing Xbox One Pre-Orders

Early data for console pre-orders from major online retailers in the United States show consumers pre-ordered approximately three PS4 units for every two Xbox One consoles during the period between Monday June 10 to Wednesday June 12. While this is not an indication of future purchase intent, it does seem to suggest that Sony resonated louder with consumers during E3 2013 than Microsoft.

IGN users were unquestionably swayed by Sony’s messaging during this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. We asked our readers who they thought was “winning E3” during the show. Over 280,000 of you responded, and Sony took the top spot with 81% of the votes. Microsoft garnered 12% and Nintendo grabbed the remaining 7%.

While Sony seems to have the advantage in the pre-order race at this point, Microsoft Games Studio VP Phil Spencer did respond to the recent consumer concerns over mandatory connectivity checks and the seemingly unfriendly approach towards used games and lending by saying, “this isn't a sprint. The platform launches this November; we've got more content to share."

Just pre-ordered a second one from a local shop, so now I'm guaranteed to get it launch day instead of hoping on the online one. If the pre-sales news of Sony not thinking they will meet demand is true, I'm sell one for a nice profit

The gamestop i did it at, has a promo where you can trade in 5 games worth 8+ to them, and they'll knock off 100 bucks from the PS4. Hopping on that asap.

It might just be my local store, not sure. Also trickier since you're in a different country. Might as well call em.

They threw a slew of deals at me. Like for Last of Us, they said I can return it whenever and they will just take off $1 per day.

Amazon added two launch bundles that come with a year of PS+ and either BF4 or Killzone and two more with just Knack or Watch_Dogs. $500 and $460 respectively.
