BF4 is just as simple to pick up and play, especially if you've been playing FPS for years. All FPS are more or less the same now, so adding the extra element (mechs) does help separate it/make it more enjoyable than the more and more stale COD/BF series. Also, it's the first iteration of this game, TF 2 and 3 should and probably will be muuuuuuuuch more in depth (COD didnt start getting good till COD3/4, BF didn't really come into its own till 3). Also the game will be on ps4 by then as well, so it will be fun to watch everyone change their tune about it.

I would hazard a guess that TF sold more xbones then the show sold PS4's. The show, while a great game, is about as niche as it gets, and doesn't have the broad appeal of a BRAND SHINY NEW FPS.

If you don't think that MS looks at PC games and XB1 in a lot of the same way, you're nuts. To run Titanfall, you need to have either purchased a computer with Windows (MS $$$) or an XB1 (MS $$$). If you have a PS4, you're boned. You're reading way too much into the fact that you're a PC gamer and Nucking Futs was talking about comparing the two consoles.

Still though, it's still a pointless argument and the definition is stupid. You need a MS product to play Titanfall. You need a Sony product to play Infamous. End of story.
Look at an Xbox commercial and tell me they say "only on microsoft devices" that's stupid. For the last time, I know you need a Microsoft product, I was never disputing that. Nucking Futs said you can't play Titanfall because you don't have an Xbox. I said you can if you got a PC, along with the majority of exclusive titles for Xbox. What the fuck are you even talking about? You're making an dispute to an argument that doesn't exist lmfao.

You need a MS product to play Titanfall. If you have an internet connection you almost surely have one of those products to play Titanfall on. This is called a personal computer (PC for short). Or you can play on an Xbox. Exclusive means restricted or limited to the group. This is not an example of a true exclusive game as you can play on more than one gaming platform, either PC or Xbox. On the other hand, you need a Sony product to play Infamous. Unlike Microsoft they have only one device, it's called the Playstation. This makes Playstation games truly exclusive. It's really cool. I like video games. End of story.

I never said it was bad Lol. I just challenge the notion that it is a "MUST HAVE" or "SYSTEM SELLING" game that is the difference makers between consoles. Neither Titanfall or Forza fit that mold for "most" gamers.

I think both (more so TF than forza) is much more of a system seller than any of the next gen games to come out thus far. Until you start getting into the Halos/UC type games in the future, games like TF and infamous will have serve as the quasi system sellers, and that's not really a terrible thing IMO.

Not to bring more XB1 into this thread, but several reports say Titanfall boosted XB1 sales by 96%. That's system selling if I've ever heard it and will annihilate anything The Show does.

Anything helps when 4 months down the road you still have day 1 editions sitting on the shelves ;)

And I would be interested in seeing what the actual numbers are at the end of this month cuz they were getting hit with uppercuts to the taint.

Not true at all. COD is an arcade style FPS and TF more or less feels the same playing the two. Battlefield is alot more tactical because of alot more moving parts in the game on a much larger scale. (Air battle, naval battle, tank battle, infantry, then the actual game objective). To say you can pick up BF4 and perform as well as you do on a game such as COD is a lie. Call of duty is fast paced run and gunning. Whoever aims down the sights first and shoots basically wins in that game. Battlefield plays alot different than titanfall and call of duty in terms of gameplay and feel.

Gotta agreed with that. I stopped playing COD when my standard game of Dom was 50+ and 10. After months on BF4 I still walk into a match and get worked at times.

lets not act like they are polar opposites, the games are more or less the same (hell, i was better at bf than i am at COD, i just prefer COD).

Sure they aren't polar opposites because they are in the same genre, but that's about as far as the comparison gets.

I would concede that teamwork is needed much more in bf than cod, where you can sometimes win a game by yourself, and there are the obvious differences b/t the two (huge maps vs small, vehicles, slow vs fast pace), but when it gets down to brass tax, they are all the same and people will play what is fun for them.

True story but I'm sure that has to do with inventory management at retailers as much as anything. Point being supply has wholey outweighed demand and when total units released is about equal and one console sells out in hours after each shipment.... that is a bad thing.
