I wonder if you leave like say Jacksonville in the first year, can another team move to Jacksonville and restart the franchise or whatever? Probably asking for too much but would be cool to see

Simple?
The video starts with Connected Careers in big bold letters then the guy says "we're adding[insert recycled feature]" which implies that connected careers is gonna be back, right?
Ok so this video is showcasing "Owner Mode", however those actual words can't be found in the video. It's also showcasing "Connected Franchise", a phrase not said until the last few seconds(which is great if you like plot twist with your video game trailers). However, Connected Careers can clearly be seen at the beginning and the end of the video, and I'm supposed to know that it's the one mode of the three that won't be in the game?

Who cares what my reaction is going to be when I boot up the game, or how easy it'll be once I do so? No one is talking about that...the conversation is about the contents of a trailer and the changes to madden.
From my understanding Connect Careers was a combination of two modes, one of which was Franchise Mode. So in the process of simply upgrading the Franchise mode, they're gonna give it a whole new name and promote the previous "Franchise" name rights up to where it replaces the "Careers" in Connected Careers.
It'd be like adding rules back to the Locker Room, changing its name to The Deep End. Then changing "Off-Topic Discussion" to "The Locker Room".
If you look at my first post you'll see that I basically understood the set-up from the beginning. What I didn't(and still don't) get, is why there are three steps involved for changing something that had already changed with the first step. Seems unnecessarily complex to me. But I guess I'm the one who needs to get a clue, not EA.Comment

EA changed "Franchise Mode" to "Connected Careers" because they wanted to do exactly what the name was, connect everyone (Online/Offline are exactly the same experience) in a career setting meaning you only get to play as a player or a coach. And that was that, but people were pretty pissed for some reason that "Franchise" wasn't part of the name anymore, hence "Connected Franchise" which makes a little more sense as a name now that there's some form of Owner Mode back in the game.
Connected Franchise wouldn't have made any sense if it would've been the name of the mode last year.Comment

No one has asked Looman has any retooling been done with the NCAA classes....are they still horrible like in the past or has some care been taken to ensure that they translate properly....IE: players having their correct skin tones, fast players not having 6-7 points dropped from their speed rating, etcComment

Wouldn't they share that info though? I would think Looman would know something about the classes that are being imported into his precious connected franchise.....aren't tests being run to ensure that they translate properly? The Madden team knows the NCAA imported classes have been problematic for years now.....he knew enough to state that there were no story lines developed for them.....it makes me thinks they just slapped this option back onComment

I'm not going to praise EA for bringing back something (32 Team control & NCAA Roster Import) that shouldn't have ever been removed from the game.
But hey atleast they are owning up to their mistake last year.
I love to play the best matchups each week in Madden and it was a huge dissapointment I coudln't play any other playoff games in CCM last year if I didn't control any teams beyond Dallas. So thank you EA for taking the steps towards making offline franchise mode great again for guys like myself who prefer to manage all rosters and in their own franchise mode.PLAYMAKERS CLASSIC FOOTBALL ROSTERS (XBOX 360)

I do believe that the guys working on Madden are very passionate about putting out a good game. That said, they do not have unlimited resources and time to put out the game each year. Most good games take about 2 years to develop and the Madden team gets half of that while developing for multiple consoles. This year, it's even more than usual because they still have the same team having to work on the PS3, 360, PS4 and Xbox One.
The community always wants more than can be delivered. I just want good gameplay and the ability to have an online league run smoothly. I believe we are going to see improvements in both of those areas through the Infinity 2.0 engine and the Connected Franchise enhancements.Comment

I think the biggest thing for people to remember is that Madden '13 was the first year for Connected Careers. The previous Online Franchise mode was broken and it was scrapped to build something more robust completely from scratch. It was not perfect last year but I think any rational person acknowledges that it was several steps in the right direction. This year, it might not be as many steps more in the right direction as we would like to see but it doesn't appear to have taken any steps back and is adding some new features.

I don't think the community is asking for all that much. In fact I think they've been asking for pretty much the same shit for the past 10 years. A non-buggy franchise mode with the same features as the madden from 10 years ago. Really, they need a decade (and almost 8 years on this gen) to accomplish this task?
This is a completely new team for Madden from what I hear that redid everything. That's great, awesome news. So EA, instead of putting all the work on this new team that is obviously not big enough to handle remaking an entire game in a year, why don't you fucking spend some of that over $1 billion you have just sitting in cash on hand and produce the game the consumer wants from you for one year. I know it's a crazy concept, but you know if they produced a fantastic Madden for one year, their sales would skyrocket for the next 5-6 easily offsetting the cost of expanding the team for one year.
Quit white knighting this shitty fucking company because they give you some shitty interview that provides absolutely no new info. Most of the questions you asked were about features that were present in the PS2 versions of the game and over half the answers were "we've definitely thought about that, it MIGHT be in next year." They won't even commit to bringing back old features because they know they need features to market over the next 5 years. They have a shitty fucking business model and eventually it's gonna fuck them in the ass.Comment
