I'll give that shot shaping a shot, I don't have it turned on right now.

I was really happy with how my first official tournament turned out the other day. Reduced the number of rounds to three, and ended up shooting 71, 69, 69 (-7). I thought I lost my ass when I hit a bogey and double bogey on the back nine of the final round, but I saved myself with back-to-back birdies on 17 and 18 to win the tourney by one stroke.

Nice call on the shot shaping, Dave, it DEFINITELY increases the difficulty of driving the ball. My first tourney with the new settings I shot a 72 (E), three strokes off the lead. But in the second round I fucking fell apart, shooting an 82 (+10) and missing the cut by one stroke. I'm really happy now with the way the game is playing, I feel it's now the most realistic TW I have ever played.

I haven't had the guts to use shot shaping in my offline career mode. I am gutless. It does make every drive an adventure. I've used it in some stroke play now games out of curiosity.

I wish in offline career mode there was more customizability. I always want the putting greens on "tournament" speed. I never want the flagstick at anything lower than hard or expert. When you play a major in this game, putting is always a bitch ... but some tourneys, it's too easy.

Can't even describe how much I'm enjoying this game with shot shaping turned on. Playing a tournament on a course that has narrow fairways turns into a real challenge, but on good days I can still shoot -6 and stay in competition. Just played the first round of my next tourney on the PGA tour, finished +1 on the day, three strokes off the lead. It's so refreshing to go in and really have to concentrate to compete. I've probably played eight tourneys so far, three rounds apiece, and I've only had one eagle. Every birdie for me definitely counts.

Here''s other tips to keep the game challenging.

Max your driving attribute at 75, but leave every other attribute maxed at 25.

Also: Don't use elite equipment. Use lower-rated equipment.

It's an option in the game difficulty settings. It dramatically changes your driving skills.

                          no one has =Masters=?

its amazing how video games are so important to really stupid people. Ive only played 3 times so i'm not that good and 2 guys in my last game were just making fun of me on mic because of it. If i'm winning something, I would be happy because i'm ahead.

but they were like wondering if I was faking it ...or it was upseting them that I was bad and I was wasting their time...its a fucking game on the internet you morons. Its not some important competition. Its fun time stuff.

one guy was saying "you really should practice alot before you go online dude"
LOL sorry dumb ass, its not something important enough I think i need to go to training camp and prepare for like a real life necessity. The internet has made kids such lazy , weak minded pussies with no critical thought and these guys had to be over voting age and they were talking like 12 year olds trying to sound cool to their friends. It as sad and fascinating at the same time.

its like when people think they need to buy e books on madden to learn stuff before they play online because they arent that good and dont want to lose or look bad...? its just a game dumb ass. Just go online and play and learn as you go.

LMAO, yet has the time to make custom uniforms for several teams and then make fun of others who have simple, basic, or ugly ones. It's a nerd calling out another nerd on the interwebs.

these are 2 completely different topics.

to pseudo competition that is for fun these fools bring rudeness and ignorance. To the creative process they bring laziness.
