Official Madden 2010 Wishlist

Let's go ahead and start this badboy up. Leave your ideas for Madden 2010 and how it can be a better game. What needs to be added, and what needs to be taken out. What do you think will make Madden 2010 better?

My gripes with it is intermediate/deep passing being completely taken out of the game. The advantage of the DB over the WR is ridiculous. For some reason the WR's ability to jump was completely taken out of the game. The LB/DB "superjump" animation really got on my nerves. However it seems as if they have already fixed that with the procedural awareness blog update (http://insideblog.easports.com/archi...irst-look.aspx) I am hoping that LB's not even looking at the ball can turn around, stop on a dime, and do a super leap animation to intercept the pass.

Last thing I want to comment on is the lack of speed when you intercept a pass. No way why Antonio Cromartie needs to be chased down by a Right Guard after he picks a pass off.

The jacked up part about that is that only happens in online play, when i play franchise and get a pick im not caught by anyone but WRs and sometimes RBs

I wish they would implement the camera angles being done in NCAA, too often am I frustrated by a blitz package and I can't see where my wide recievers are to the wide right or left, often having to utilize the dump pass. Another thing I would like to see changed is the addition of an online league similar to the Online Dynasty in NCAA.

-Bring back create a playbook. That would always satisfy me when I was real bored and didn't feel like doing much of anything.. just sittin back and making some wacky plays and see if it works.

-FUCK THE PRESENTATION, make this game playable on March 20th, 2010... and even longer. Online play and franchise play need to be upgraded. If the game started and went right to the kickoff screen, I wouldn't give two shits for a lack of presentation. What I DO care about is my $60 dust collector sitting on my shelf. I remember back in the day when everybody's number was 88, and that didn't effect my gaming experience one bit. Graphics: yes... presentation: not so much.

-Inconsistent gameplay. In some ways it's good, but in other ways, it's why nano blitzes and rocket catches are in exsistence. The game is too consistent. The same thing should not happen every time, the players could adjust, or there could just be two/three sets of "reactions" that a player could have to a given scenario. This could be where the awareness rating actually makes a difference instead of just fluctuating a player's overall.

They were suppose to add camera angles on 09 where you can see every receiver on the field but it doesn't work for me. Makes me mad. Seems like all the good features they added for 09 don't work.

-Man coverage : Allow us to use man again.

-Fall forward animation : Remove this animation. Its the gayest thing that iv seen added in years , Darren Sproles does not fall forward 5yards on Pat Williams consistently.

-Super lbs : Lbs cant just stop on a dime and pluck a pass out of the air

-Posts/Clown routes: Posts/Clown routes beat zone every time if you roll out no matter whos at safety or corner , id like to see this toned down.

-Curls : Please tone curls down , they are dumb . 4 curls owns almost every defense espicially if you add rockets.

-Online Franchise: This would be a cool feature and i think it would keep people playing longer.

-Online leagues : FIx them , lol i dont think i need to continue on this too much.

This is all , if only a few of these were done id be happy.

online franchise where you can pick how many user controlled teams is a big want for me

i hate entering stats on leaguedaddy but love playing in leagues, the franchise leagues on ps2 were perfect to me

Well they have already fixed the man coverage animation but here's my small list:

Online Franchise - This sounds like it would be awesome and it could easily work. With everyone saying what a hit online dynasties was this needs to be posted as a suggestion on an ea blog.

Online Leagues - This thing is messed up real bad. When people quit it eliminates the games that person played and the way it is setup is just kinda weird all around. It needs to be fixed.

Wildcat - This could be easy to put in. Just put in every play that every team used. Ea just needs to watch some game film. Hopefully it could also be implemented without a glitch too.

Franchise Mode - Add in what the past gen maddens had in franchise mode like newspapers and the tony bruno show and other things. Then even add in some realistic progression during the season. In past gen the during season progression was bad. Players got too good too fast. Also players on bad teams overalls would go down real fast. In the current franchise mode their is barely any progression. It improved with a patch but still has a long way to go.

I am impressed with what ea did so far but they also need to fix the things that they put in 09 that didn't work right. For example the camera angle where your suppose to be able to see every receiver when you drop back to pass.

Wildcat Formation- I don't see why they wouldn't add it. I hope they just balance it out.
Formation Shifts- They really to bring this back.
Adaptive Defense- The defense should get smarter if your opponent is running the same play over and over again.
Fair Play Online- One of the biggest features I miss. Forcing people to actually punt the ball was great.
Better Oline- Don't even need to explain.
Fix Online Leagues
Playoff Atmosphere
New Hitstick/Tackling animations
Field Degradation
A new kicking innovation would be nice.


I seen this idea a while ago and I second it. I wish there was a Madden VIP that keeps track of in depth user stats offline/online.

Since Im pretty sure you cant use the ESPN Portscenter type thing that 2k did, use a setup of NFL Netwowk and set it like that. Highlights of everyones game Top 10 and shit, I enojyed that ni 2k5

Most of your wants aren't things that really matter unless you're playing "freestyle".

lol , people throw posts and clowns in sim leagues yes?? Apart from rocket curls they all apply to sim leagues. Im in many sim leagues and have played many sim seasons so dont go think im a freestyler . I dont care alot for the offline part of the game so i only mentioned gameplay and online things.

Fact of the matter is a clown/post route beats ANY DEFENSE , im sorry that i dont want one route on the game that beats every single type of coverge. The only way to defeat this sort of thing is usering a safety and getting pressure , but thats still not the point , 1 single route shudnt beat the retarded cpu every single down.

They need to add this play. (http://replay-re-cutter.nfl.com/clip...B319927FC94C46)They fake a run to the HB and then the screen is quick with blockers already downfield. I like it a lot and It would be fun to use.

They also need to fix the HB Quick base play from the shot gun. A DT comes free to much.

They need to fix how WR screen plays are executed. It is way to effective in Madden 09.

They need to add where the blockers block on run plays. They just have them blocking straight forward when you look at any run play. They need to make like 2k5 and actually show where the players block and where the hole is suppose to open up.

I'm pretty sure NCAA copied the camera thing from Madden.

Doesn't EA have the ESPN license? They should be able to use just about anything they want.

The fact that they're working with both is precisely the problem. The NFL doesn't want them to use ESPN for broadcast stuff.

I don't really give two shits what the broadcast looks like as long as it's an upgrade from the shit they've been putting out. Have Pam fucking Oliver doing commentary and John madden in a skirt on the sidelines and as long as they have player interviews and pre/post game shows, I'd be happy.

Ugh! The player interviews were horrible. Please, GOD, I hope they don't rehash that crap.

Seeing as what they have done so far, these are the three main things id like to see in madden 10, PS i think it should be called madden XXI, but thats just me

1 - Franchise Mode
I have heard the Josh Looman and the franchise maker on head coach is now on the madden team excites me, i hope they can make it the same as head coach as that is realistic and entertaining

2 - If you have the ESPN lisence why dont they use it, they should have ESPN moday night football, thye should have pre game and post game stuff with ESPN in the studio, they just need to boost the presentation, they have the liscense so why not use it

3 - Player sizes, some are just weird, Ngata is 360 pounds, the third biggest guy in the NFL but he looks like the skinniest, he lokks liek a twig as does Mike Patterson and other players aswell, Dockeet looks huge and he is a small DT, it doesnt make sensem so please make player sizing better
