5K for a 55 incher. I wonder how long before they are 1K to 2K or if anyone has any interest in them. I would need to see them side by side. I wonder if in 10 years we will be playing PC games on out 4K monitors....would that be pointless?3480 x 2160

It's actually kind of rediculous to note that in there they listed a GTX680 running BF3 @ 2560X1600 and it was still doing over 40FPS. For a card thats around $500 thats pretty crazy considering how fast we're moving here.
ATI already has single cards that will do 6 monitors (well they have a 12monitor one too) that'll run around 5760X2160 so its basically up to GPU makers to either create a new cable that can support that much data going through one cable.
That guy actually plays some games at that res. They are older games but this video is from 2010 so I'm assuming things have improved quite a bit.
*quick note the only reason I linked that is because I sold one of those cards a year ago. The guy currently has a 4 monitor setup with a TV mounted on the wall that connects to the system. He doesn't game though
