Yup, same here. That wasn't the football we had though. It was a side scrolling field.

My grandpa had that. I remember sitting at his house for hours mesmerized by this nonsense.

Same as Maynard and I remember playing this football game more than anything.

Then Mario/Duck Hunt and Tecmo Bowl.

We went to a place called Traders Village that had a lot of games for cheap.

                        My very first game:

My parents got me Indianapolis 500: The Simulation for Christmas when I was a little kid. It was an IndyCar sim for the PC that was released in 1989 by Papyrus. I remember playing this ALL the damn time. It was almost impossible to win too. I remember the ONLY time I ever won a race was when I ran the track backwards and crashed every single car lol. Yeah, it was that difficult lol. It's pretty much the first racing game that differentiated itself from the arcade racers to the true simulations.

Pretty cool how much stuff was available in a sim-racer this old. You could adjust how much fuel you wanted, your front and rear wing, what type of tires you wanted, shocks, gears, etc.

Btw, this is also the same people that currently develop and run iRacing.

So, tell us about your very first game....
Man, I had this game too! Dunno if it was first, but I remember it early.

Duck Hunt + Mario was probably the first console game for me. This is the game I remember playing more than anything:

                        Starman FTW

For sure! I remember my parents having to buy me new controllers thanks to those games haha. Me and my brother used to battle hard core at both games. I can still remember blocking every FG and XP with Lawrence Taylor up the middle lol

That was one of my first NES games. That game was so much fun although it had so many exploits. I think it was Kin Korn Karn (I hope I'm remembering that wrong because of the obvious!) that you could use to ust kick an opponent and they couldn't really defend it.

My buddy and I would buy about every baseball game that ever came out for the NES and then the Genesis. There were so many good ones. Bases Loaded, Baseball Stars, Little League, RBI...I could go on and on. For one of his birthdays he got Bad News Baseball and Baseball Simulator 1000 and we played until like 6 or 7 the next morning. I went home and slept all day. That was a pretty big deal for a 12 year old. Ha. I also remember my thumbs being so sore the next day. Four of us also ran a league in RBI 2. We would keep our own stats and everything. That is one of my fondest gaming moments.

I actually just ordered a bunch of NES, SNES and Genesis games from jjgames.com in anticipation of the Retron 5 release.

Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt, when I got the NES for Christmas one year. Got Legend of Zelda shortly thereafter.

The first one my parents got for my brother and I was Super Mario Bros./Duckhunt from what I can remember. Had so much fun with that thing.
