I hated the RB1 guitar and always used the GH3 Les Paul until Rock Band 2 came out. In my opinion, I really like the RB2 guitar the best now. It took some getting used to at first, but I've grown to like it better than any of the others. I guess it just all boils down to preference.

with the RB 2 guitar, do u find yourself using the "2nd set of frets" on the guitar? GH 3 les paul doesnt have this, but the GH WT did have it like the RB2 guitar. I never used it in GH WT......

i hope that made sense. I mean the frets that are closer to the strum bar.

Yea, I know what you are talking about. I've used the GHWT guitar before it isn't set up the same way as the RB2 guitar. The GH guitar uses a "slide bar" while the RB2 uses buttons just like the normal ones, but smaller. With the RB2 guitar, you can just press those "solo buttons" at the base of the neck on solos (finger tapping) without having to strum.

I've never used them, but I'm sure there are some that do.

As I said, I don't use the RB guitar, but I've never seen anyone that plays on Expert actually use the solo buttons, or the slider bar on the WT guitar for that matter.

Edit: understanding that you may not play on Expert, I still can't imagine any reason to use them. GH2 and 3 Guitars are the best because they are so simple, imo anyway.

one thing i love about this game is that it incorporates the DLC into the tour mode. idk if GH did this cause i didnt buy any DLC, but i spent 40 bucks on DLC today. I had to have pearl jam, motley crue and metallica. I didnt get the full albums, but i did buy alot of songs today

If mainly playing the guitar is your thing, be sure to look into the Boston pack, Rush's Moving Pictures, and Stevie Ray Vaughn's Texas Flood. All of them are pretty good for guitarists.

If anyone wants to start a band online, I'm down for guitar/bass.

If you wanna start a band, all we need is drums and maybe a singer now.

Just curious if I'm missing something or not. What is the deal with people being all pissy that I only play on hard. WTF. So what, I don't play on expert, I play this to have fun, not to prove anything. What's the deal with that.

Between RB1 & RB2 tracks, I can "play" probably 95% of the songs on guitar or bass on hard. Theres a few songs I can't get finish on hard, like Battery and Painkiller, which everyone seems to want to play whenever I go online.

And to make it worse, some of these people try to play on expert, and can't even get through the damn songs. Where exactly is the fun in that?
Ya know, I've had the Rock Band series ever since it first came out (had it on 360, then had to re-buy it for PS3 when I sold the 360) and I've never once played online. Its more of a "party game" for when I have friends over drinking.

If you guys need a vocalist I can go in... I can clear any song on expert and there's about 20 or so songs that I can get 100% on, plus another 20 or so that I can gold star.

Hell if I had a capture card I would have videos of some of my vocal runs on youtube.
Finally back after a 3 year hiatus!

I still play this almost every day.

GH3 and RB2 are are that I got this summer until NHL comes out so you'll see me quite a bit.

I can play basically any bass song on expert and almost all the songs on expert outside of the impossible songs.

RB2 can be one of the funniest things you'll ever play online.

So we have a vocalist, a guitar/bass, and I can play a little bit of drums if I need to move over from guitar/bass.
