My mistake. It was apparently created while I was away and was buried. I just saw a posting about it on CAG and see that it still doesn't have an actual release date so I figured this was new. Sue me.

As for your question, I've never played the first one, so I don't know.
Fable is pretty good. I don't know why so many were clamoring for an HD remake, but it's pretty good. At the time it did some really interesting things, I just think it's going to seem pretty shallow to anyone that has played modern RPGs or, in your case Twigg, Fable 2.
