This looks dope, and I can still get it even though I'm getting the PS4 since it's coming out on PC also.

Nearly everyone who has played a first-person shooter can relate to the following scenario. You fire up the game and start playing in a few matches, and find yourself getting taken out every few seconds. Unless you're playing a game consistently, there's always that rough adjustment period where you're padding everyone else's stats before you get good.

Respawn Entertainment lead artist Joel Emslie says that helped inspire the creation of Titanfall, the company's first game for the Xbox One.

"We went after a game that gamers could feel comfortable with, but also try to build a bridge into something new that they hadn't done before," says Emslie. "We went and started looking at how can we make a player last longer in the game space."

Enter Titans, the massive mechanized assault vehicles that serve as a "second shell" for the player, and allows them to survive on the battlefield for longer periods.

Respawn featured a multiplayer demo during the Electronic Entertainment Expo. which shows speedy game play and exhilarating experiences inside the Titan.

Titanfall focuses on pioneers settling on uninhabitable planets and the corporations that assist their endeavors. "At some point, something broke down and all hell breaks loose," says Emslie. "You've got land grabbing. You've got the corporation coming in on the frontiersmen. They're forming militias to try to fight for their land."

Titanfall meshes a narrative with a game focused primarily on cooperative and multiplayer combat. One of the matches featured at E3 was a Capture and Hold battle where two teams had to capture points on a map. At timed intervals, players can call a Titan and hop inside.

While Titans are quick and powerful, players aren't exactly helpless against them while on foot. They brandish a launcher-type weapon causing major damage.

Most interesting is the interactions players can experience with Titans. They can leap on a Titan's back and quickly dismantle it, or ride through levels on a friend's Titan. There's also the great moment where a player can eject from their Titan and land on another to knock it out.

This Capture and Hold match throws in an interesting twist where one team must evacuate the site in a dropship before time expires. This results in a frantic chase as one team hustles to the ship while enemies try to catch them and finish them off. Players who get on the ship earn special bonuses.

Although one Titan was featured in the Titanfall demo, Emslie hints at the possibility of multiple Titan options for players to consider. "You could imagine that there might be a couple more," he says.

Titanfall launches in 2014 for the Xbox One.

              In your opinion.

This game did nothing for me. Oh, another shooter? How original. What, you can get into a mech? OMGZ! That's never been done before either.

In all honesty this game reminds me of Killzone, and the new Killzone doesn't have me excited either.

But hey, color me surprised that you think an Xbox exclusive is the greatest next gen game already. I never saw that coming. Let me guess, you love CoD too?

                1. This isn't an Xbox exclusive
                2. No one should ever be excited about a Killzone game.

Even the xbox haters were in aw when the gameplay video was being shown. That's how good it looks.

Not me. I'm really not overly impressed with any of the next gen games that have been shown and announced. But the hype surrounding this one is some of the most baffling. I'm guessing because so many CoD fanboys still suck Respawn's dick.

Honestly, what is it about the game that looks so amazing? It's another shooter.

I've read a lot about people at e3 saying Titanfall was by far the most popular exhibit throughout e3 if that means anything.
