i might be trading for this game on CAG , a few questions....


Supposedly there were some frame rate(halflife 2) & connection issues(TF2 online). They released a patch march 19th,2008. Are these issues fixed and is this game worth playing on PS3? I know Half Life 2 has garnered universal acclaim on pc and 360.

I don't know anything about the patch but supposedly the framerate issues for the PS3 port were atrocious. I would highly doubt if a patch fixed the myriad of problems that version had.

Did you check ps3forums or gamefaqs?

It's not made by Valve themselves, it's made by EA, which means it hasn't been bug and performance tested anywhere near the level that Valve put into their own releases. It also hasn't got, and likely won't get, the class updates that Valve have been releasing for TF2 the last 6-12 months.

It's basically the bastard step child of the three versions.

... actually it is "made" by valve. It is just published by EA. Only because Valve doesn't do console games themselves.

I own this for 360 and there have been a few patches. I've beaten the orange box on PC and on 360 and they play almost exactly the same except one uses a controller... the other a keyboard.
