It sounds like they want to implement something similar to the Arkham franchise where well-timed hits are encouraged and rewarded, but you can still just mash buttons to get through fights. Unless I'm reading this wrong, this bit of news doesn't sound bad.

It'll definitely be one of the better looking games since it's done by Crytek, but their games are so soulless. I still haven't been able to force myself to finish a Crysis game because they become so incredibly boring.

Couple of the IGN guys got their hands on the MP portion of the game. They were not very impressed. "Super disappointed," "popping textures," "did not feel next-gen" were the things they were saying about it. Here's the quick video:

Trailer makes it look cool, but after seeing IGN's hands-on a couple months back where they said the game was buggy and terrible will make me steer clear of this one.
