Do you have yourself ser to show offline? I know you were just racing with us but on my friends list you still show offline and last online a month ago. Swarley doesn't do that.

I'm not sure about you OOBL but Swarley and I kept getting disconnected. When we were racing everything was smooth as can be. BUt several times it disconnected while trying to put you into a lobby or load a race. I can't say that I'm surprised with this considering it's Nintendo.

Plus, the best I can tell is that voice chat only works if you're in a private lobby. So we would have to get a good group of VSN guys together.

I didn't get out of the office until 9 last night, but fortunately it looks like I just missed some of Nintendo Nintendonting. I didn't even get to log in and make sure I received FR. Should be around tonight though, as no surgery today.

I still have no headset for this...is it imperative?

No, it's not imperative, but being able to trash talk in a game like this would make the game loads more fun imo. Swarley and I were fucking with each other over Voxer but that just isn't the same.

Like I mentioned, it;s so weird that even though we raced with OOBL he was showing offline on my end. It says that he was last online over a month ago. Because og this I was never able to just jump into a race with OOBL. Swarley's online status showed fine for me though.

EDIT - I'll have to see what it looks like when I go in and see these friend requests. Freaking Nintendo and the internet. I'll also have to pick up a headset, as I didn't even think about trashtalking since I've only ever played it competitively with people in the same room.

What set ups is everyone using?

For me i use the special race kart with slick wheels (waiting to unlock cyber slicks.. Same stats but they look better) and the clouds parachute until i get a better.. I mainly use Toad since he has decent speed and doesn't give up a lot of acc for it.. Oh and his handling is awesome. And if i feel like i need more weight or speed i use rosalina or DK

Also can't wait for these amibo things they showed at E3, i believe we will get DLC characters from it.. Really hoping to have diddy kong in the game

I would suggest picking up the $5 headset at Best Buy. It's a pretty sweet stereo headset with chat that plugs right into the Gamepad.

Anyway, lately, my girlfriend and I have been playing this every night. I want on a profanity laced tirade last night that was like a flashback to my high school days. Got blue shelled in the last like, 100 yards of the final track of Mushroom Cup 150cc. Came in second for the race, 1st overall, bumped my 3 gold stars down to 2. Infuriating.
