[ALL] JBregz' Top 50 Video Games of All Time

I've been intrigued to make a list myself, once Seth began his I got the itch again to do so. So here I am. My criteria for determine my "top" games will based off of Time spent playing these games, quality behind the games, and enjoyment. There are a few co-op games that I can remember having a blast playing with friends. The game may not be considered better, but video games are about having fun, right? I will encompass all platforms of gaming from PC to Gameboy.

I'll try and update often, sometimes several in one day, some days I may not. It just depends.

#50 BUSHIDO BLADE


I remember playing this game as a kid on the PS1, simply having just the demo of this game on one of those discs you get in a magazine. Holy shit was this game fun. I remember loving the sound effects in this game such as the sound the guys would make when their shoes would drag along the cobblestone or dirt, or the way the characters would fall down when you hit them off of this ledge in the stage that you could play in the demo. I remember there was always this fucking owl or something that would be "hooting" in the background, so badass/ You could also throw sand in the persons eye which I never found out how to do..

#49 DESTREGA

This was like my ultimate go-to game to play after watching a Dragon Ball Z episode. A really cool game that included a variety of characters that all had different skill sets in this 3D battle stage. Of course I only had the demo for this game so I could only play as like 6 fucking characters, Gradd was the best because his special was like a kamehameha, but I remember when I would almost purposely lose to Milena because her tits would bounce after her victory taunt. Achieved my first boner playing this game I bet.

#48 NHL 2000

Probably the best sports game intro ever. I put so many hours into this game as a young-in. It's funny how I used to love kicking the shit out of Toronto or Buffalo with the Colorado Avalanche since I'm a Leaf fan now. The checking in this game were amazing by simply pressing the Triangle button as well as the fighting; and better yet - the goal celebrations.

O man Bushido Blade. I remember being 10 trying to figure out why I couldn't advance and then I figured out that I had to kill people honorably and all that. It was a difference experience from anything I had played at the time, but one that I wish they would bring back to consoles.

adding a demo to a top 50 list is lame. what this list is basically about is your personal opinion. so people ask themselves who the fuck is bregz and why do i give a shit about what he has to say? but we read because its a topic, and vsn can use any topic...plus its always interesting to rip and run on peoples choices on these lists.

Having demos on here is pretty lame.

But I also understand that as a kid you Can't buy every game you want like you can when you're an adult. Or in Josh's case, give your dad pedicures in exchange for the latest games. So, if his fondest memories are of demos, so be it. It's just rara that someone would love a demo that much that they would never actually play the full game at some point.

Now that I think about it, I don't think I ever played the full version of Bushido Blade. I did play a fair amount of the demo though.

Demo discs and shareware were the shit from like 10 to 16 or so, for me.
