Tcoaker NCAA 14 Roster Set (Adjusted Player Ratings)

I got the depth charts from the 360/PS3 Roster Template thread. All speed had been matched with real life 40 times. I used a conversion chart that Playmakers came up with. Other ratings tweaked as well. I used a Preseason Athlon Mag, Phil Steele, Scout, and ESPN to adjust ratings. Alabama is no longer a ridiculous 99. Bumped them down to 93. I plan on doing the rest of the top 25 next.

These play good with playmakers varsity sliders. Haven't tried any other slider sets.

Phil Steele and Scout.com are really good for finding accurate roster information. The things I've been so far with the Classic rosters is reduced QBA ratings, Increase RB and Mobile QB's Vision ratings, Lower Catch In Traffic ratings for average WR's, Increase Strength ratings for big RUN Stopping DT's and DE's since EA went way over board with OL run blocking this year. But the highest strength rating I've utilized so far is 92 overall....I was going to lower OL acceleration but after further testing EA made the right call on this rating because it allows pulling OL to get out in space and make a block. The RT's are horrible this year in Pass Blocking so I've been focusing a lot on the awareness ratings for them because it helps them react quicker to Blitzer's and recover when they are beat sometimes. EA honestly did a shitty job with the RT's in this game and I think they did this on purpose in order to make us think they fixed the pass rush ability of DE's. I'm still studying the ZONE Coverage and Play Recognition ratings but chances are I won't lower them down because I think on Varsity Level it's really important that AI understands their assignment in coverage and also sniff out plays that are being repeatedly used by Human players.

In the handful of games I've played, players seem to play close to their real life counterparts. Clowney plays like Clowney. On one play he''ll use a spin move. A few plays later he'll bullrush the tackle.

Lowering quarterback accuracy is a key in NCAA.By default the QBs are far too accurate.Knocking them down a bit helps out.

I got lamblasted on OS about these toned down rosters. They claimed that Alabama deserves the 99 because they've won lately. I don't think many teams should be 99 ever. maybe 95 Nebraska and 2001 Miami. The 2011 Bama team was close to that level but they lost to LSU. That was by far the strongest of the recent Bama teams. Most people don't realize that lower ratings help the True Stars shine even brighter.
