So I had some credits laying around in my iRacing account after I took advantage of that buy $75 get $25 more and picked up a bunch of ovals. So I decided to pick up the FW31 just for fun. After driving the Star Mazda and then the DW12, I was really eager to see how this thing drives. It's actually quite fun and not as crazy as I thought it'd be.

Alright, who wants to run some races this weekend? I've been slacking the past couple of weeks.
What I'd run if someone else wants to:
GT3 at Donington
NASCAR National at Phoenix
Trucks at New Hampshire
IndyCar at Pocono
Star Mazda at Okayama
I'm real close to auto-promotion to B license in oval, so either way I'll definitely run some C class oval.Comment

Indy at Pocono sounds fun. I might be able to pull some laps this Saturday.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! The Grand Prix/Nordschleife combo track is one of my absolute favorite tracks to run. Nordschleife will be an SR graveyard, but it will be a blast for private racing at least.
Awesome couple weeks of news with the Aston Martin signing and now this.Last edited by Swarley; 09-19-2014, 11:58 AM.Comment

Just ran a race at New Hampshire in the trucks. Damn that's a fun track. I like the smaller big-name tracks with the flatter turns. Always seemed more road-course-like to me.
Anyways. I only got a few minutes of practice time, so I didn't expect to do all that well. Started about 10th I think. Was running with a small pack until the first yellow at lap 11. Pitted for some fresh rubber and really noticed how well the car felt on fresh tires. We ran like 20 laps or so under green. A pass here and there, but was around 7-9 for the whole time. Yellow came out on lap 30 of 40. Only two cars in front of me were going to pit, so I decided to chance it and went in (b/c I really liked how the truck felt on the new tires earlier). Went green again and I definitely had more grip than the guys in front of me. Unfortunately like 2 laps later there was a small pile up right in front of me and I just had no where to go. Damaged the front end, but I didn't need to pit for it. Figured with only a 2 lap shootout I'd stay out. Well immediately at the green I noticed guys flying past me. My car was f'd on speed after the accident. Luckily there was a wreck in turn 2 to end the race and I only lost 1 spot on the green. Ended up finishing P7. A ton of fun and I absolutely want to run a couple more this weekend.Comment
