Yeah, there are some professional racers on there and many that really know what they are doing.
I was a spectator in an MX-5 race last night and those guys are even good, much better than I am, that's for sure.

I was just watching the video from Inside Sim Racing (which I love that show) and think the Long Beach track looks cool in wire frame. I'll have to find it later (assuming its free).

I was wondering where he'd gone. Saw a FB comment the other day from ISR that he just left without saying anything.

Alright, officially a fan of Shaun's new website. This is a good video and can't wait to see more in the series.

This is what Shaun is using in the above video.

Not quite as expensive as I thought it'd be.

Btw, definitely going to use that Brass Monkey phone app that was in the ISR build update video. Now I need to find a way to attach it to the wheel.

The G27 has 14 buttons (6 on the wheel and 8 on the shifter), plus a D-pad

Doesnt a normal controller have 16 buttons.

More if you count stick direction and click.
A normal controller doesn't have 3 pedals, steering wheel, paddle shifters and a 6 speed shifter, or the feel of the road.

So I think I'm going to aim for racing in the MX-5 Cup from Race 6 (6/03) at Charlotte to the end of the schedule (12 race schedule) in July. All base package tracks. Tuesday races. Fixed setups.

The Mazda MX5 Cup is your introduction to road racing at iRacing and features the Mazda MX-5/Roadster. Behind the wheel of either the MX-5 (left hand drive) or Roadster (right hand drive), you’ll be able to acclimate to the simulation, hone your driving skills and, competing side-by-side with other rookies, develop your race craft. The Mazda MX5 Cup series will run as a 12 week, fixed setup series, using standard iRacing rules and points scoring. Series will include three drop weeks.

Just put my wheel stand together, at first I thought all it would take was 15 minutes but ended up taking an hour. I just need to clip to tie straps now. Getting ready to test it out.

I think we need a pic of your setup.

I've always wanted to see your flight-sim stuff too.
