I personally really like the G27, and mine's used as well. The button placement is great, as you have 6 buttons on the wheel right at your thumbs so it makes things super easy like looking left and right, radio and changing info boxes on screen. The Porsche rims do look pretty comfy, tho, but is that worth that much more money to you? I also really like all the extra buttons you get on the G27 shifter. 8 extra buttons and a d-pad. Of course, it's only H-pattern and the Fanatec shifter comes with both H-pattern and sequential (I'd like to have a sequential stick).

EDIT: And oh, the G27's are pretty customizable, so if you really get into this, you could always put a different rim on it.

That Jefferson course (Summit Point) sure is a busy track. I just started to learn it and feel good with a time of 1:00. I bet the leaders are at :54 or so. I'll have to look but I see many crashes on this track.

EDIT: Shaun Cole did it in 56.618. So I don't feel bad since I dont' know it yet but there will be some SR spent there.

youtube sequential shifter mods for G27 shifter.

Honestly J, after using this wheel , I can't imagine the others are really THAT much better. I really feel how great this wheel is in Assetto Corsa, although I think I have it set too strong there, I have it set lighter in iRacing. You can really feel the tug on the wheel when you hit a dip in the road. Like Swarley said, there are plenty of buttons. I really like the H-Shifter, to me it feels pretty realistic, considering the short throw it has. Its a little clacky but that can be fixed with a simple mod. I do use the paddle shifters in iRacing , simply because its easier to focus. In AC, I use the H-shifter.

As for the pedals, I think they work great. I understand the Fanatecs use a load cell for the brake pedal, maybe all of them. I don't know what the difference is off hand but I think the G27's are fine. There is good resistance to them, especially when you slam them hard.

No, its a lot ghetto. lol

Personally, for just up/down shifting, I'll just use the paddles.

Alright, since the tracks have changed, I think I'm going to hop on. Might do MX-5 or Global Challenge practice.

The guy with the fanatec wheel and stand said he would take 250 for the whole set up...seems like a no brainer.

                            sent from my flip phone.
