I started with the same time. You will get used to it. You're not only not used to the game but also using a wheel.

my force feedback is grayed out.

I set mine up initially with the Logitech profiler. Might be able to with just game controller in windows but not sure if you could set sensitivities.

Hey guys old time iracing addict. In fact I was racing back since the Papyrus years. This thread definitely brings back memories and the urge to get back on the track ;) not sure if it has changed but the sim racing community there was very "Gentleman Like" and helpful... I guess that is what you get when you pay to play.

Will be checking this thread for your guys progress. In the meantime remember "slower is faster"

You can do it in windows, goto control panel and type 'game controllers' in the search box.

It will bring up USB game controllers, Click that , goto the wheel . AT the bottom, goto settings.

Another Papyrus guy! I played the hell out of their games as a kid. Indianapolis 500 The Simulator, NASCAR Racing 1 and 2, IndyCar Racing 1 and 2. Some great times. We're having a lot of fun with this. If you ever do decide to get back in, let us know and we'll invite you to our league on there.

EDIT: And yes, I love the community. Forza community is mostly idiotic and terrible to race with. Here you mostly have people who love sim-racing just as much as you. It's great.

I don't use them and when I set mine up, I either watched a video or read it on a forum where that isn't used.

I don't know what it does. You can play with the settings in iRacing. I've been wanting to turn it up a bit anyway.

I have 0 Damping. Don't see those other options tho.



I think I feel like doing a little oval racing tonight since Street Stock is back at Charlotte. Seems like a much easier track to up my oval SR rather than the short track where it's impossible not to hit anyone or anything.
