Madden 25 Demo confirmed for 8/13

The Madden 25 demo has been confirmed to release on Tuesday 8/13. The article is date stamped for 7/1 but nobody in the community had seen this announcement. I was on the GameChangers Radio show and we were talking about the lack of information on the demo and all of a sudden Shopmaster gets a link to this release. Less than a week until Madden 25 is playable for everybody!

Madden NFL 25 Demo Release Details

By EA SPORTS Jul 1, 2013

The release date for the Madden 25 demo download will be August 13, 2013, and the demo will be available for Gen 3 from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Store. The Madden demo includes two playable features, as well as two never-before-seen videos to get you pumped up for the full video game release of Madden NFL 25 on August 27.

First up is the Skills Trainer, a brand new addition to the Madden NFL franchise. We have included four key drills that will help get you ready for the full release. The football drills include: Precision Modified Running, Total Control Passing, The Option, and Ball Hawk. The two areas of emphasis will be Precision Modified Running and Option drills, as those will give players the most control as the ball carrier. There may be a slight learning curve with these new mechanics, but it will pay off and you will quickly see the improvements you make to your stick skills.

Once you’ve mastered the Skills Trainer, it’s time to check out the two Play Now matchups in the demo. You can choose the Super Bowl XLVII rematch between the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens, or the Seattle Seahawks against the Green Bay Packers.

While your favorite football team may not be included in this year’s Madden demo, we are excited to produce these four teams. Practice the option game with Russell Wilson or Colin Kaepernick, Run Free with the likes of Ray Rice and Randall Cobb, and check out the all-new Force Impact System with Patrick Willis and the feared Seahawks secondary.

Lastly, the demo also includes two brand-new videos. The first features a preview of Owner Mode featuring New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft. Mr. Kraft’s words will undoubtedly get you pumped up and excited to become an owner in Connected Franchise. The other video is a compilation of some of the new Madden 25 features: Madden Share, Madden Ultimate Team (including Team Chemistry), and Head-to-Head Seasons.

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Madden NFL by pre-ordering Madden NFL 25 today to receive exclusive Franchise Packs for your Connected Franchise and Madden Ultimate Team!

5 Things You Need To Know About the Madden 25 Demo

EA announced the Madden NFL 25 Demo information late yesterday and while we know it comes out August 13th and it features match-ups between the 49ers @ Ravens and Seattle @ Packers, there are still some things that EA didn’t disclose about the demo in the article they put up on their site.

I got asked a lot of questions about the demo today on my twitter, so I figured I send some questions to the guys at EA and here are 5 things I found out that you won’t find in the EA article about the Demo.

    1. Settings and qtr. length - The first question was asked what difficulty level and qtr length will the demo be on. The answer is you can change between Pro, All-Pro, and All-Madden. The default is on Pro to start out. Also, sliders and penalties are also things you can adjust in the demo as well. The quarter length is 5 minute quarters. The quarter length is not adjustable.

    2. Camera Angles - Unfortunately there is only one camera angle in the demo and that is the Standard camera angle. In my Madden 25 Menu System video, I noted the different camera angles available (Standard, Zoom, Legacy, and Broadcast). The standard Camera angle is new however and is back a little bit form previous (legacy) camera angles and what this does is allow you to hot route players without your screen jumping.

    3. Commentary - It was asked if commentary will be in the demo. In some of the previous demos, commentary was excluded. This year the demo will feature commentary. Good to hear!

    4. Skills Trainer Team - This was a question that came to me on twitter as well who was asking about the Madden Skills Trainer and asked what teams can we choose form when it comes to Skills Trainer. The San Francisco 49ers are the team you use on offense and defense in Skills Trainer. I actually think this team is probably the best team to use in that mode because they are probably the most well rounded team of all 4 teams available in the demo. They have the running back for the Precision Drills in Gore, a mobile QB in Kaep for the Option Drill and Total Control Passing Drill, and Nhamdi for the Ball Hawk Drill. Still would have been nice to choose which team especially if you are a fan of one of the other 3 teams.

    5. Madden Ultimate Team - In the NCAA 14 Skills Trainer if you are able to get gold you’d unlock some ultimate team cards. Unfortunately with the Madden 25 demo, playing the Skills Trainer will not unlock any Madden Ultimate Team cards to be used in the full version of the game being released on August 27th.

You’ll be able to download the almost 2GB Madden 25 demo on August 13th. I appreciate all of the comments and I will continue to try to answer as many questions as I can in regards to Madden 25 and I can’t wait to get the retail version of the game and share more. If you have any questions, please post down below in the comments or hit me up on Twitter @Shopmaster and I will do my best to answer them.
