I'd love to start a franchise except they still haven't patched the sim stats issue. I actually like the way this game plays pretty well

Nah it's solid. Slightly upgraded from current gen, but enough to make it feel a little fresh. I vastly enjoy the running game more on the PS4. Special teams coverage is much better as well. I haven't really looked in depth to the line play, but I know it's one of the biggest changes from the two generations.

So, my buddy and I have a Connected Career going in Madden. He's the Ravens and I'm the Bears. I finished the season 13-3, even though I just lost both Cutler and Forte in weeks 16 and 17 respectively, both for six weeks. I barely beat out the Lions for the NFC North crown. He however has one game left to play and at best will finish 7-9. But the rest of the AFC North is 5-11. That's right, Pitt, Cincy and Cleveland are all 5-11. So even if he loses his last game and finishes 6-10 he still takes the division. It's like Seattle a few years back.

Both of us fighting for a playoff spot, while also trying to set a few NFL records, has been a blast. And it's just year one.

The injuries are a bit ridiculous in the game but I must admit, playing a franchise with my buddy reminds me of the days of creating our own RBI 2 baseball leagues on the NES and keeping our own stats. Ha.

How does the draft work in an online franchise? Is it real time?

Also, my buddy and I finished our first season the other day and it ended in spectacular fashion. He (Ravens) made the playoffs even though he finished the regular season with a 6-10 record. The rest of the AFC North was all 5-11 I believe. I (Bears) finished 13-3. We both get to the conference championship game and he just gets blown out in the second half by the BUFFALO BILLS. For some reason EJ Manuel is a fucking GOD in that game. Maybe I'm imagining things but wasn't the main rating guy a huge Bills fan? Josh Looman or something like that? He got blown out earlier in the year by them and again in the championship. I think their regular season record was 13-3 as well.
So I play them in the Superbowl and it;s snowing, which is fucking awesome because that;s what they're predicting in real like this year. Cutler and Forte both sustained serious injuries in the last regular season game and the SB was their first game back. Martellus Bennet was out for two playoff games as well. It was a back and forth game but I really couldn't stop the Bills offense. I think they scored at least a FG on every drive in the first half. They also recovered an onside kick right before halftime after picking Cutler off and driving down for a TD. They got a FG after the onside and were up 24-14 at the half.
With just under two minutes left in the game I go up 31-30 but I know I left them too much time. After getting a few first downs on their drive I have them at 4th and 10 on my 44 yard line. They go for it and of course Manuel completes a bomb to the 5 yard line. Tim Jennings was all over the receiver but when I tried to jump to pick it or swat it he just stood on the ground and let the receiver (I believe Stevie Johnson) leap and make the grab. Did I also mention that Manuel completed TWENTY ONE passes in a row at one point? It was a joke. Anyway, I have to use all of my time outs and hold them to a FG. They go up 33-31 with 18 seconds left. They squib kick it and Bennett catches it. He goes about five yards and gets hit and fumbles but luckily I recover after a several second scrum. I have 15 seconds and no time outs and the ball on my 40. Somehow they defense is playing press coverage so I'm hoping Marshall can burn his defender and get behind him. He does just that. He gives the guy a juke and sprints behind him. I hit him in stride and go out of bounds around the 25 just before a safety tackles me. Gould then hits the game winner a few seconds later.
What an amazing SB and a really fun season. I can't wait to start season 2.

You are crazy ... but not wrong about your impressions of this game.
It just feels and plays differently than current-gen. It is far from perfect, but I can play multiple games vs. the cpu and not turn the console off mid-game and say to myself "When the fuck are these fucktards ever gonna get the NFL game up to the standard of MLB The Show, NBA2k, NHL and Fifa?"

It's still not up to those standards, but for the first time I can play the game and not feel like the NFL has no hope in video gaming.

had a bunch of loose change on my dresser.
It ended up being $50.00 when I dumped it in a drug store money counter.

target is right now selling ps3 Madden 25 for $39 plus tax so I got one this year finally.

the video game stores still want $44 for a used madden lol
