I liked it because he takes back some of the things he thought of reviewers at the time he was there. He knows how hard (impossible) it is to please everyone and is a fan that has his own complaints. I listened to the NHL Dev interviews and the interviewer seemed a little too much of a "homer" for the series. While most comments from threads say NHL 13 was a step back, he named it the sports game of the year. He threw softball questions and when asking them questions about how people might not like a feature, he didn't have any follow up questions....either "yeah...yeah" or on to the next question.

Should be ripping into them for NHL. The series has stalled. Is it a coincidence that as soon as NHL2K was cancelled EA pretty much started to coast?

MLB The Show, Fifa, and NBA 2K have all made great strides in becoming great games with amazing attention to detail. Why have NCAA and Madden been treading in shallow water?

I mean they cant even get the ref's voice in NCAA to sync up with his mouth. I have been shaking my head for 3 years now because of that shit. I mean srs how hard can that be to fix?

Clear cut answer here. The base engine was poorly developed in the first couple years and they have had no time to start over. They keep adding onto something that is broken. It also sounds like a ton of resources are put into Madden Ultimate team since its EA's $$$$$$$

I have played FIFA for the past 2 years and just got the PC demo of FIFA 14 yesterday. I had the 3 day pass for Madden 25 and I have to say that FIFA makes Madden look like amateurs made it.

It really is a joke and although I didn't buy 25, I'm a fool for buying any of the Madden games from '06 on.


I think more people here should try FIFA. I'm not a soccer fan, I never watch it and couldn't even tell you who the players are , or the teams (other than what I know from playing the game) but the game
is just a blast to play. It looks great, plays great and its a constant flow of energy.

They need to totally scrap Madden, get a new team and work on it for about 5 years. It amazes me that they can change so much every year but the game be the same thing.

Can you imagine if 2K had been making a football game this entire time? I played 2k8 the other night and Madden still isn't as good .
