So I decided this week that after just over 5 years on my last build that it was time to build a new gaming rig. As you can imagine given that its been 5 years, the amount of PC gaming I have done has dwindled drastically. But lately a few friends and I have been getting back into it. And I am stoked for BF4 and want to play it on the PC vs. console. So I pulled the trigger yesterday on an order from newegg. Thought I'd share for any fellow nerds.
I tried to build on a budget of $1400-$1500. I didn't want to go way overboard. Just wanted something that could run the games out today at a high level and should get me through a couple years. Can always upgrade if necessary. I came in slightly over budget but that included accessories such as keyboard, mouse, and headset. Anyway, here she is. Part should be here by Wed/Thurs (damn you newegg for not shipping the day of the order despite ample time).
Case: Cooler Master HAF X
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LK
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770k
Cooling: Corsair H100i
GPU: Gigabyte Rev 2.0 GTX 760 2GB
RAM: Corsair Vengance Pro 8gb (2x4) DDR3 1866
PSU: Corsair HX850
HDD1: Corsair Force 128gb SSD
HDD2: A 1TB WD that I have sitting in a server unused at the moment
