Garrett Windows is $100 so if you cant get a cracked copy then you need to factor that in.

Yes Bomber the Graphics card come with HDMI out you can hook to TV and DVI to a monitor and mirror the 2 displays. That's what I do. I plug it straight into my receiver and from receiver it goes to my TV so I get 5.1 Surround.

Sound and mixing board I cant help you there. The motherboard typically come with 5.1 sound output or optical output.

I have a copy of Windows but Bomber, I just configured basically that same system and it came out to about the same price. So, that is a great deal , price wise.

I haven't read their site and I haven't heard of them before but going by their BBB rating and reviews, I probably would. I'm sure they back their work, they would have to.

it is essentially the same PC I have and I love mine. I prefer to build myself because then its easier to fix if something is not working perfectly.

One positive about a PC is if it does break then you can fix it. IF a console breaks you are usually fucked.

Also if you want it to be better you can just throw some money at it and it will be faster and more powerful.

My question to you Bomber is why do you want a GAMING PC?

              1) Jealous of everyone saying that PC gaming is awesome

              2) Need a better PC for my audio editing

              3) Want to get into capturing video game stuff (ala Humble and Knubb and others)

I like those Bitfenix cases. I almost configured my with one, still might actually. I would just need to change to a different motherboard.

Starting to feel like I'm going to get screwed over on this one but still somewhat hopeful!

What are some things I'll need to be ready to check and do when this thing gets in next week or so.

Well you are getting windows 8 correct? If you want windows 7 then install that ASAP.'

                            Then install
                            • Check if they installed any programs you dont want...uninstall asap.
                            • Check to see if geforce experience is installed....if not then install drivers from nvidia website.
                            • steam
                            • origins
                            • fraps

Remember the plus for this is they provide full customer service so any questions you may have they should be able to help you along the way.

The most important thing is that Windows in updated and your Nvidia 760 drivers are up to date. GeForce experience should take care of that.

It is not as hard as noobs make it out to be.

Yes....much easier to use and learn. I think you should be fine Bomber...skimming the interwebs I don't see much negative comments on the company.

Once you ensure all is up to date, install steam and play something.

Do you have a wired Xbox 360 controller? If your hooking up to TV then get the wireless receiver.

This will allow you to use steam in Big Picture Mode and play from your couch.

Also make sure your resolution in windows is set to 1920 x 1080. and make sure to make sure your games are set to then as well in the game settings.
