[ALL] Wish list for PS4 and Xbox One updates

Now that the PS4 and Xbox One have been out for a few weeks, what are the things that you would most like to see in a future OS update?

I want to see both consoles support MP3, popular video formats like Xvid and have better 3rd party apps like YouTube.

Obviously the Xbox One interface is entirely too clunky and it is a chore to look at achievements in game. The PS4 has a lot of work to do on voice chat capability.

Let me archive my twitch broadcasts

Piggybacking on this. We really need the ability to edit our bitrate for streaming. Last night i wasn't happy with the lag i got while being on Twitch.

I know they are gonna add in the ability to post broadcasts to youtube. Would be cool if I could get it onto my cpu too though.

If they actually allow archiving on Twitch, you'll be able to do those, but the quality of the archive will only be as good as that of your stream. You can use Twitch Tools to download any archive/highlight on Twitch.

If you're talking discs, then it's impossible to add that through an update. Also, add an extra 50-100 bucks for it if you're talking a physical system update (also, they would never do that -- there's a reason why they bailed on backwards compatibility).

If Gaikai works out well, that's the closest you're going to come.

I would think quality will be better with a device dedicated to streaming.

I don't know that the PS4 streaming capability will ever exceed that of the El Gato. The Game Capture HD software allows you a lot more customization capability including upstream bitrate and also delay capability in a near future upgrade.

Would like to see groups for the PS4 friend list and the option to turn on/off sign in notifications for specific groups. Going to the friends list to see who's on all the time is kind of annoying.
