anyone playing this game? got very high scores and is a free to play "follow up to diablo 2"
I never saw anything on it until now and looking at the video review from vanord i was blown away...especially by the skill tree

surprising more poeple are not playing this game here. free game with no reason to buy any extras unless u want to support the devs. looks great, plays great and is incredibly deep.

the gems and socket system is awesome. you find gems that will give you active powers. you place those gems into your weapons and armor to allow you to use the powers in the game. they then have branching sockets on certain items which allows you to augment the powers as you would like. Basically it will allow you to make your own spells. i think they said there is 100 or so combos of spells and powers that you can make. This is like the spell cards in two worlds 2 which allowed you to create your own spells based on the cards you have.

there is no money system in the game. everything is traded with vendors. you can join other peoples games or they can join you. its apparently what everyone was looking for in a follow up to Diablo 2, but didnt get with D3

im about 20 hours in. fun game to play. combat is awesome and i love finding gems and orbs along the way to build up my equipment. i didnt know but found out there are choices to be made alone the way.
