Gaming Pick-Ups Thread - 2014 Edition

any impressions so far? I got a bunch of NES and Genesis games and nothing to play them on. This system looks great, just don't want to invest in one if it's unreliable.

I haven't had a chance to even open it yet. I want to do an unboxing video.

There is a firmware update that you need to transfer via a SD card and I haven't been in the mood to deal with that yet. Especially considering I don't have any SD cards just lying around.

I actually haven't. I've had it on PS3 for quite some time. Everything about the game seems to be something I would love, but for some reason it's never made it out of my backlog.

When you get around to it, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the boss fights. They were the weakest part of the game when it came out, and the Director's Cut is supposed to have completely changed those.

I would too, for that matter. I hated them in the original, but I still played the crap out of it so much so that when the DC came around, I had no interest in playing anymore.

I went a little crazy since this was my first sale and I needed shit to play on my PC. Still didn't spend a dime tho since I just bought Steam cards with Best Buy credit.
