You have to know what you want before you go shopping.

do you realize there is an entire world of great games outside the sports genre? i used to be a sports gamer too. but then found out what i was missing and hardly ever play sports titles now. when you see what else is out there, you begin to understand how bad madden really is

I only play a few sports games.... but there is absolutely no need for me to have a console for Madden plus a gaming PC when most of the games I like are on both. Graphics = Nothing... not even in the equation for if I think a game is good.

Realistically, it's going to be difficult to build a PC that compares with the PS4's pricetag that will last a couple years. However, one of the justifications is that for a little bit more, you get all the functionality of a PC. So, for Rylo's 600, are you going to be able to get a PS4 as well as a capable PC that can be used for its various other functions (MS Office, internet, data storage, etc). Chances are, no.
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

This is all valid for those that don't have a laptop or desktop. I just got a new laptop around Christmas, so its hard to justify building a PC primarily for gaming.

ok well, you snooze you lose.

i dont understand why people come into this thread with the expectation of being sold on why you should buy a gaming pc. if you dont want to own one, then dont. its not like you know what you are missing.
