i dont understand why people come into this thread with the expectation of being sold on why you should buy a gaming pc. if you dont want to own one, then dont. its not like you know what you are missing.

I came into it to answer the question in the title. You seem to be trying to sell people on it (nothing wrong with that) but you have spent the entire thread selling until this last post.

Realistically, it's going to be difficult to build a PC that compares with the PS4's pricetag that will last a couple years. However, one of the justifications is that for a little bit more, you get all the functionality of a PC. So, for Rylo's 600, are you going to be able to get a PS4 as well as a capable PC that can be used for its various other functions (MS Office, internet, data storage, etc). Chances are, no.

This statement is simply wrong. PS4 has a cap on it's capabilities due to non-changeable hardware. Any PC you build for 600 or more today will be stronger than the PS4 by light years currently, and can be customized in the future.

BTW, any game that is not sports is far better on the PC, the customization through hotkeys, quicksaves, mods, etc make the flexibility of the product much more desirable. If you like sports games, that's fine, stick with the console, but please don't complain when the next Fallout comes out and you only have 2 hotkeys and spend 40 hours trawling through menus.

you already stated you think pc gamers are elitists and you replied to the thread. if you dont want to own a gaming pc then why the need to keep commenting how you cant play madden on a pc? are you just trolling or do you want to keep letting people know you cant play madden on a pc?

who is more likely to know which system provides the best value? a person who plays consoles and the pc...or a person who has only played consoles?

Running at a Resolution of 7680 x 1600 takes a a lot of video card RAM.

Assuming you are looking to play games with a controller. Playing PC games on the couch is no different then a console.

My PC which sits on the other side of the room run simultaneously on my TV screen and PC screen. You see that cable at the bottom left of the 2nd screen. That is an HDMI cable that runs from my PC and it is plugged into my receiver in input 4. I also have a DVI cable running to my monitor. I am too lazy to go above the room and run it through the walls...I will do that when it gets warmer. I have a xbox 360 controller wireless receiver and and controller. I simply hit input 4 and launch steam in big picture mode. PC gaming on the couch.

right, but in the context of this thread, on this site...nobody. a 4k setup is not common

i use the same chair for my console gaming that i do for my PC gaming. i simply turn to the right when playing a console. i am not a huge fan of the kb/m control. but not because its uncomfortable. the controller just offers a more streamlined experenice for me. thats why i have a controller for my pc though. I also dont have a good keyboard. I do have a 7 button mouse that i just got and it makes a huge difference
