I have my spurts with this game, it just randomly comes and goes. Will probably get the urge in the next few months.
The most fun I've had with this game was back in the day when people would run fictional leagues where the members would create 1-2 players (usually a hitter and pitcher combo) and then other members would control the teams and negotiate with players, draft, set the lineups and strategies. And then you could also write little short articles and stuff about your player to gain points to upgrade your players attributes. Was a lot of fun.
The leagues weren't that big, maybe like 8 teams, so 100 members/200 players roughly.
Sven Draconian was my elite closer on the San Francisco Ducks for many seasons in the Elite Players League, if he even remembers.
I buy each year. I play when I can. I usually like to go into my "man cave" on Sunday's during the season and put on the Rays game and sit on my laptop and play OOTP simultaneously.
Maddon & Friedman: Pissing off the AL East since 2008
I'm going upstairs and get on my PC, actually my iMac and study my league so I can start it back up. It's been a few months and I have forgotten my players and everything I've been doing so I want to get back in the swing of things before actually advancing time.
