I'm looking forward to streaming this.
This will be the first official Strider game I've played despite relishing in talk of the series from multiple sources.Comment

Go DL it digitally, Twigg.
Enjoy it.
Stream that shit too so we can see your dogs Dicks Buttkiss and Norm.Comment

I tried this out last night...I really enjoyed the hour or so I got to play. It is a little difficult as the blade makes you seem pretty invincible until you run into smarter enemies or a horde of bullet shooting enemies. I beat the like 3 bosses last night. I heard there is a giant gorilla somewhere. Game looks really nice and runs really nice of the PSFore.Comment

I played a little more than that, and am also really liking it. I wish they would blend in a little more NES Strider music, but you can't have it all. It looks beautiful on the 360 too (I'm playing on that because my stupid Asus AC Adaptor bit the dust and I am waiting for the replacement), which is impressive how well they did on all versions (so it sounds).Comment

No, the Genesis one is good and based on the original game. I just always liked the NES one because it had the option to travel to different countries back and forth, upgrades, and some light Metroid-style elements with the upgrades (leading me to believe that they were just as influenced by the NES version for this). I think the NES one is based off of the manga that came after the arcade version.
They have some of the music from the NES in there, I just like the NES music better (nostalgia!)Comment
