[XB1] Online FPS...how is this possible

Ok, I don't pretend to be any good at online shooters. But, I don't give a shit, I have fun playing them and that is really all that I'm looking for. Would I like to get better? Of course. I play both BF4 and COD: Ghosts for my XB1. I have found that I can get more kills on COD, than on BF. I decided to just watch some gameplay on Youtube to see if I could pick up any useful info on how to be more effective.

Then I found the video above. Can some of you guys explain how this is even possible? I don't even see the guys he is shooting and killing. I am looking at the screen and see nothing. I'm looking at the radar, still see nothing. What is this guy doing that gets him so many kills?

IMO success in a FPS breaks down to a few things: map knowledge, using cover when you have it, listening (a good headset and sound design helps), and shooting ability (understanding recoil, good crosshair placement, reaction time, etc.).

As for shooting guys you can't see in the video, it could be a side effect of the compression or he might simply have good vision or a good/big TV.

I agree with Padman, some of guys playing FPS games like the one in the OP have insane skills. Our own MVPete would be able to hold his own with that guy. I gave up any aspirations of actually being good at FPS games a long time ago but still enjoy playing them online.

I've pretty much given up trying to be any good. I just play to have a good time. Last game of COD I played I was actually really happy with my performance. My K/D ratio was 5/15 lol...that's how bad I am. Part of it may be that I have such shitty options for weapons as well, but, 5 kills for me is awesome!

I'm not as serious as I used to be, I still try and win whenever I play but not as much of a maniac as I used to be. Padman basically nailed it with what you need to have in order to pull off something like this. Lots of hours playing, finding good teammates that know what they are doing.

The sad part is this requires more skill than the usual COD 100+ kills than the older games where it's someone flying around in a chopper or unleashing dogs, but it isn't as exciting to me even though I know it took him a lot more effort than those videos lol.
