[ALL] EA, Microsoft Nominated For Worst Company In America

Electronic Arts could three-peat as Worst Company in America, and console maker/software giant Microsoft is also part of the bracket.

The Consumerist put up its Worst Company in America tournament bracket up, and two game industry giants made the cut. Electronics Arts, which has won the "award" two years running. With the botching of Battlefield 4's launch and the Dungeon Keeper mobile ratings scandal, we expect it will do well.

Microsoft is also in the running, but we suspect for the failings of its business/Windows division and not its gaming offerings.

As fun as it is to shit on EA (and they deserve it), it's kind of sad that they're going for a 3-peat. There are companies in that bracket that are much worse.

Oh it's this time of year again! And it's a news story posted by Handle, no less Surprises abound.

This is the dumbest fucking thing year in, and year out. EA has been making a big mess lately, but they're still far from the "worst company in America"...what a ridiculous statement. They have published some of the best games of the previous generation, and I bet that they'll publish some of the best games of this generation. HOW AWFUL!

Pretty much every wireless and/or internet provider are a bunch of scumbags.

This thing is just an internet based poll. For the most part the internets have always despised EA. They're never happy with them. After the ME3 debacle they lost their fucking minds and wanted to burn them at the stake. I've never been happy with MS since pretty much about three years into the 360's cycle. They have tons of anti-consumer and anti-developer (mostly Indies) policies that make it easy to despise them. But ultimately they're a video game and software company.

But hey, Sony isn't on there. Just sayin'. It's actually kind of funny because I'm pretty sure it wasn't that long ago that they were a staple in this poll/bracket. They have really turned things around over the past several years, at least with their gaming division, which is why I prefer them as a company.
