These games are all about the open world. Exploring, taking over outposts, unlocking towers, hunting, upgrading our equipment, looting, collectibles. The stories in these games are usually pretty bad. I have to disagree with the game's mechanics, though, I thought they were pretty decent.

As for why you can only carry one weapon, you need to go into the player menus and look at what animal skins you need to acquire via hunting so you can upgrade your holsters.

Ya what's the point in exploring when all you find is worthless items to sell and the only thing I can buy is ammo. I think after playing a game like skyrim or fallout it makes this look pointless. Just disappointed I expected a lot out of this game, but don't get why everyone likes it.

The whole reason for hunting and exploring is to get better gear for your character. To be able to carry more weapons, more ammo, more special shit. Taking over outposts and transmission towers is just plain fun, especially with the outposts because you can take them down as YOU see fit. Stealth, guns blazing, you make the call. Then you open up more of the map abd more opportunities to do cool shit, like the assassination missions or the timed races.
As far as the mechanics, I have no idea what you're talking about. The gun play is as good as you'll find in any shooter.

Have you tried playing Co-op? Adds a lot of fun to it. You and a buddy trying to take over outposts together either stealthy or guns blazing.

The Buzzsaw is absolutely vicious. If you're looking to keep the game a challenge towards the end of the game (you get the Buzzsaw after liberating all 17 belltowers), avoid using the game. Completely overpowered, yet very fun.

Good game so far. With so much jungle, my usual method of sniping the alarms and dudes from a hill is no longer possible. Gotta get up close and personal now.

In both 3 and 4, I can't find a single reason to use the bow.
