NBA 2K14, are the block animations generic?

2K has made this game really revolve around the AI; and when the AI needs to do something accord to a scripted animation! If the AI needs to move, protect, block a certain play, it will, and if the AI, needs to act "SILLY", and go and double team a non-threatening player on the 3pt line, it will do that for no reason at all.
2K, really needs to tweak the AI system a little better, for more "realistic game play", IMO.

Defense in 2K is stupidly hard in general. I'll force an offense into a tough shot, and then suddenly David Lee will turn around and hit a 20-foot fadeaway jumper with a hand in his face.
As far as the block animations go, I think they lead to too many fouls, as instead of trying to block the dunk, the player will swing his hand wildly and end up slapping the other player, leading to one and-one opportunity after another.Comment
