Not even close. NHL was a lot of fun, but MLB The Show is one amazing ass game.

The Show is definitely a great game.

I would give it a 10/10, but the Online Play is unacceptable, and for this I'm giving it an 8.5/10. I don't like to play against the CPU whatsoever. When I don't have anyone to ball against, I would love to go online, and play some Baseball with people, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO every game is a lagfest, which fucks up your timing so bad your pathetic compared to the smoothness of offline.

For that one simple reason... I would say Madden is a better game. (Even though it isn't.)

I was a huge NBA2k guy until this year. Now I find NBA Live more fun to play.

Show as GOTY? I want to see a more reliable online experience before I give it the title.

NHL 09 would probably be GOTY if they had sliders for human AND cpu.

As it stands now, Forza 2 might actually be my sports game of the year ... and it's likely too old to qualify.

All that said, I like The Show a lot.

I think FIFA will win, it had the best online mode including a lagless 10v10 teamup, to go along with Staggering sales numbers, no 09 game will come close to touching the amount of units Fifa sold.

A sleeper could be NCAA 09 simply because Online Dynasty may well be the most innovative feature added to a sports game for several years.
