Agree with your point that Madden can always be better but that it has been heading in the right direction over the past few cycles.

Look forward to checking out the new show!

This year will be big for them. I can understand the rushed port but we better see some serious upgrades with the power the ps4 has.

Yeah, for me M15 and M16 are HUGE. Most of us think Madden 08 was the best on last gen, that was the 3rd game of that console. So I'm putting pressure on them to make us really like M15 and LOVE M16.

Its not only that but its a new generation of systems. I get building upon the engine but we should be seeing a substantial leap in logic and fine tuning of graphics.

My expectations for M15 are low. I expect a LOT of small tweaks but nothing major given that M25 was worked on til late October. That is 2-3 months less of full development time. The game we should see the biggest strides in should be NHL.

That's where I am at as well. The jump on Madden 25 from last gen to next gen wasn't a straight port since the team had a few more months to work on it and I thought it was a fair amount better as a result. If the team can clean up everything that needed more polish in 25 and get to work on 16 as soon as 15 drops, then next year should be the version that really pops. I'm still having fun with 25

You've got to give it some time too. I am not defending Madden here, but all of the developers. For about a year, you are still feeling out the new consoles and understanding what they are going to be able to do. It is very rare to have great launch titles- Resistance was an exception- and it usually takes about a year for things to hit their stride, so to speak.

So far as Madden goes, this is by far and away a big accomplishment when put up against the 360 launch.

I think many of the annual game developers will be at a disadvantage this year. Many of them have shortened development cycles for this upcoming year.

On the other hand it is a great time to work on the small things.

You hit the nail on the head! I try to say that to the community in so many words but some refuse to listen. I try to give as much information to the community as possible, there are a lot of things I'm able to see behind the scenes that most can't. A lot of stuff I better understand now that I didn't when I wasn't a game changer.

Battlefield had a ton of issues at launch, and from what I see, still has some issues especially on the 360 version. People believe that everything should be perfect, especially if they are spending $60 on a game. Very few, if any, know what truly goes on behind the scenes.

This x1000. Still sometimes it seems priorities get mixed a bit. I know what the dev teams want but getting the other teams (marketing and management) to buy in is very different.
