I think that would be interesting but I would almost want a time travel aspect to it so that you could provide modern weaponry to the Civil War era. It wouldn't be a very fun game if everyone lined up in columns across from each other and fired 58 caliber rifled bore Enfield's back and forth. Napoleonic tactics were designed for smooth bore weapons with limited accuracy. Which is a large part of the reason behind so many deaths in the Civil War, they had rifled bore weapons standing at short distances. The accuracy of the weapon and size of the caliber combined with the lack of medical capability made for a deadly mix.

It's hard to tell sometimes, there are a lot of people that are into Civil War history.

It doesn't look horrible. I wonder if this is going to become a trend now since the tech is there for big name actors to start doing mocap and voicing characters in video games. I'm cool with it but if it means less work for my boy Troy Baker I will rage.

Me too, although wasn't BlOps 2 the one with those stupid optional missions controlling that armored spider thing? They were awful.

If they could take the Cold War era for the campaign like BlOps but had that fun two-player wave based co-op from MW3 (I think?), that would be the perfect combo for me. The standard mp would just be usual CoD. Although I would love for them to go back to CoD3, prior to all of the stupid perks and kill streak bullshit.

They already have the mode that doesn't have killstreaks in multiplayer, there is no way they go back to not having them. I thought having three killstreaks was perfect, but the cat was let out of the bag with MW2 and way more people would complain about taking them out than there are those who want them gone.
