    [ALL] Bound By Flame

I don't think I ever remember hearing about this game, but it apparently released yesterday (Thursday?!?). I just happened to find out about it from a CAG post. Apparently it's $50 on PS4 ($40 with GCU) and $40 on PS3/360. No XBOne version because apparently the developers said MS didn't send them dev kits in a timely fashion. The CAG thread reports that even though it isn't advertised you also get a $10 gift card at time of purchase. It might be worth looking into for fans of Skyrim-type games. It definitely looks way more linear than that though. The combat looks similar to a God of War type game as well.

I'm picking it up tonight, hopefully streaming it after work (when I'm not shoot/stabbin' dudes or shagging fly-balls online).

Looking forward to seeing just how "bad" this game really is with my own eyes.

Here's another review that a Gamefaqs user posted. Pretty solid.

Do note I was tired as shit while doing this.

I'll stream more of the game tonight for more thoughts.

It seems that this game is quite popular over at Gamefaqs. And the people that bought it seem to be enjoying it. I just think people are so starved for new gen games though so that has a lot to do with the popularity, especially RPGs. Isn't this the first RPG on either new gen console?

                Nope.

                Child of Light is.

I'll agree w/ content starvation and the need for the "next big thing" driving sales for this though.

Hopefully Wolfenstein will deliver more on its premise on the 20th.

Ok, action RPG and not turn based bullshit.

I'm starving for new games right now, but that doesn't make me think Amazing Spider-Man 2 is anything more than a pile of dogshit.

I've watched a few people stream a chunk of this game and it looks pretty decent.

I'm streaming this at the moment:

Twitch is the world's leading video platform and community for gamers.

So far I can say that the dialogue stuff leaves MUCH to be desired but... the game was made by Spiders studio.

You're getting good-to-great looks (much moreso on Current Gen and PC), a decent crafting system and a somewhat solid combat system as well in this game.

But don't expect Mass Effect-level RPG chatter here.

I'd say wait until there's a price-drop or a sale if you want to try this out.

For content-to-money ratio, you'll probably get more out of Child of Light.

If you NEED to play this, grab it when it is on sale or used.

If you like JRPGs, Child of Light is well worth it, despite its ridiculous dialogue. Just make sure you play on Hard and not Normal if you want any kind of challenge.

That's what I figured. Getting it for $40 with a $10 gift card is a pretty good deal but I have a feeling this game will be on sale sooner rather than later.
