Curious to know, do you build your squad according to system or do you just try to bring in the best players you can and work around that? Me personally the system is king.

WonderTac is key for me... I find players that are best fits for the system.
For the most part it's BPA, but I have to look closely at the LB and RB spots because I use them in attacking roles. I also dig a little deeper to find a good poacher and regista. -
Generally I build according to my system for most pieces. I utilize wing backs so they must be excellent physically, as well as passing/crossing/dribbling/marking. The only other positions I explicitly venture for are for my strikers. I run specialized roles up front but having a deep bank I make sure to always have 2 world class strikers. I guess it has worked, considering I've scored 91-98-99 goals the last 3 seasons.
As always there is a glut of midfield talent in FM, so I usually try to get a few 5-7 million dollar guys in that have very good technical stats. Currently, Roman Bezus has 18 apps, 14 goals and 11 assists. I bought him for 1.7 million, he splits with Hunam Tariq (2.5 million) with 13 apps, 8 goals, 9 assists.Comment

I buy according to my tactic. I also refuse to buy players over the age of 25, with the majority of my buys aged 21 and below.
I find scouting reports helpful but not a be all end all. I tend to look at Det, Pass, and Tech. After that it depends on the position.Comment
