    EA SPORTS UFC Hands-on Impressions

    Pretty good write up.

Finally, what really blew me away was the conversation I had with the EA SPORTS UFC music guru and producer, Freddy Ouano. Sound was low at the event, and I mentioned to Freddy just how impressed I was with the title’s attention to detail in just a few short years of development. Freddy told me to take a look at the game’s library of over 100 tracks in the soundtrack menu, which brought some really nice surprises.

For EA SPORTS UFC, the team worked hard to license and nail down the authentic entrance music used by fighters who keep the same songs. They didn’t succeed in getting every fighter’s entrance music, but they got a lot, and what they couldn’t add this year, they’ve said they’ll work on securing in future iterations. The fighters that don’t have licensed entrance music however, will still come out to music that suits their style. Jim Miller will come out to country music blasting, etc.

So what is in the game? Expect to find Anderson Silva’s entrance to include his DMX “No Sunshine” anthem, B.J. Penn will have his trademark Hawaiian”E Ala E” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole in the game, and Jon Jones will be blasting “I’m Coming Home” by Diddy. This blew me away, and it’s these little touches that add to the individual experience you’d come to expect for your favorite fighter. While I don’t have a full list of the featured songs in front of me, we’ll work on securing it as soon as possible. Needless to say, the sound work is off to a great start with the 100-song tracklist.

Great read. Sounds promising as I'm certainly one of the skeptics that was praying it wasn't like EA Sports MMA game. Even more pumped for this game now!

Best part of this vid is when he explains "spamming". He says spamming moves will get you knocked out quick. Great news!

Would hope there is a demo. Would rather give it a run before I end up buying

Pretty sure there's slated to be one out a week or two before the game is out.

Seems like they were spamming the hell out of flashy moves in the gameplay video, so idk. I'm sure those videos are played on lower difficulties, but those lower levels usually become standard for online play. I don't know why difficulty in MMA or boxing games aren't more similar to fighters in that only the AI is affected. Also, these guys that get flown out to play the game will obviously never say anything bad about it, so Imma hold judgement till the demo drops.
