I really hope you're wrong. Without any competition from EA, 2K has been getting way too complacent. After 2k11, the games haven't really improved much besides graphics and physics tweaks.

I will buy both again. There are aspects of both I really enjoyed.

I agree on the competition part but Live is so bad in comparison why would anyone waste their money on that game? 2K just needs tweaking, like the OP video said its not far away. Imagine Live being the only option we had

Some parts of Live are pretty well done. The game isn't THAT bad, there are a ton of YouTube fanboys that claim it is though.

I play a lot of both. My biggest issue with Live is some of the game modes are pretty shallow so I lose interest. And a few bugs are irritating. Graphically it was far behind.

My issues with NBA 2K are about the same, except the bugs! Shouldn't have to worry about losing "MyCareer" progress and being reset back to garbage (even worse sometimes... Hell sometimes its not even the same player I created, the game "recreates a different player for you lol). Game modes in general are just slow and buggy as hell.

2k Player movement is like they just ate thanksgiving dinner 3 times in one day. Online is pretty much the worst of any sports game. And I have never seen as many rebounds hit the floor or the amount of kicked balls and goal tending. Serious problems there.
