Keep refreshing on the screens that you get the errors or time out on and eventually it will go through. That's what I did for 2 hours and finally got it.

Looks like it was just in time too because if you refresh the page now, it says they are sold out.

LOL. Those were the days. I remember having to flip my PS1 upside down to play MGS. Of course I was a lot less knowledgable back then about the overheating issues these consoles have because I would constantly leave it on a carpeted floor.
