I want to get excited about this game but after last year's next gen version its hard to fall for it again. I will definitely be waiting for some more updates and possible developer interviews before I even consider this year.

In all fairness after switching to PS4 for my next gen system (coming from 360), after years of hearing all the hooting and hauling about the SHOW my expectations for this game were very high . In reality these two games (compared to 2k) are 95% identical and included the same game modes.

I agree with you in that the online was horrible and in my opinion compared to 2K the pitching left little to be desired for. At the end of the day, I talk a big game but being the only real baseball game around I will probably hook line and sinker.

Great choice. Tiger Woods was doing it back on the PS2 with your created golfer, no reason that MLB The Show shouldn't have this two console generations later.

Did anyone else watch the Game Awards 2014? I know I'm way late but I'm just getting around to watching it and when Scott Rohde from Sony announced this at the event I could've sworn I heard the crowd booing hard. Rohde looked very uncomfortable. How could they think this was a good choice?

Just put a custom cover on of whoever you want with photo quality paper. Just as good. Hell, some are even better than the actual cover.

Too much work. Plus, it's a steelbook case, which means the cover is just a sleeve. I'm not sure how custom artwork would even work with that.

Considering it's being marketed as a collector's item they should've put a timeless player on there, like even Pete Rose. That would've been a bold ass move. In ten years when I look at my game collection I probably won't even remember who the fuck Puig was.
