Decently fun game that is poorly made and could be a lot better. It reminds me a lot of Destiny and the Chicago Cubs ... a lot of fans but never going to be what people hope it to be.

This game is pretty hard to find, it's been sold out around where I live for the past week. I ended up having to get it from Amazon. It could definitely be better but it's still one of the best Dragonball games ever and an excellent nostalgia bomb even if you're like me and lost interest in the show part way through the Buu saga. -
yep, based just off the name and not the actual gameplay. Might be the best DB game ever (I wouldn't know since this is my first), but that's like being the top poster at a crappy forumsite. Wish it was developed just for next gen and had more smooth movement ... even in Tokitoki. Also hate wasting a super/ultimate attack that doesn't hit the enemy simply because they are lying on the ground after getting hit and the game won't register damage during those animations and others*<|8-DComment

This is the first Dragonball game I've bought since the HD collection awhile back. Every game since has been pretty much unplayable for me. Even the old ones still had too many QTE's that just broke up the action and felt out of place. There's none of that in this game and more focus is put on the actual fighting and blasting.
I agree it's not anywhere near perfect and I'd probably give it 6/10 as a rating but I'm glad I bought it. Playing the parallel quests online with friends and their created characters is a blast and carries this game to new heights. If you don't have friends to play with it's just not going to be as fun, and even if you do good luck connecting to the servers. Right now half of the online game is unavailable because the servers are overloaded. I don't think they thought it would sell that well in the states, supposedly a patch is coming today.
But there's still a lot more depth in other places than I was expecting. The leveling and customization options are pretty great. There's an exceptional foundation here for a sequel if they continue to improve and have an entirely next-gen focus with a full development cycle.Last edited by j.hen; 03-10-2015, 11:29 AM.Comment

Yeah it's fun for what it is. Worried it is going to get old quick and I feel like I already hit a wall that requires me to replay lower level quests (too many times for my liking) in order to level up and get past a certain point. Comparing that aspect to Diablo 3 and Destiny, where you can initially continue leveling up by moving forward in the campaign instead of having to re-play quests/parts of the story, I don't like it. But it's a good change of pace game when you get bored of other stuff.*<|8-DComment

That's what I've been told, but super smash bros and mario kart are getting major hours when I game with friends, few nights a week we get at least 4 people together, doubt they would all go for DBZ over MarioComment

This game's co-op is online only though, not couch co-op. Unless that's not what you meant...Comment
