How do you guys play?

personally I"m not into franchise in the Show. I'm not that obsessed with baseball for it, but from what I see it's a stellar mode.


I'm either playing online (some lag issues from time to time, but I love the piss out of it) or playing RTTS (Be-A-Pro) which is a great mode where you can progress through time at a great pace. I expect to finish a couple of those before I'm done with the game.

I love franchise mode.

Online can be a bit frustrating at times because of lag issues. That and I'm riding the worst losing streak. lulz.

RTTS is fucking sweet as well. Got one of those going.

i love RTTS....its a blast being a pitcher. I also love playing franchise mode, but it usually burns me out before i can finish it

I used to play a lot of online, but the lag killed it for me.

Now I'm rolling through my Twins franchise. Already on May 2nd.

How many seasons do you end up making it through?

I've never actually made it through an entire season.

Granted, I've also never been unemployed for as long as I have been recently either, so I've got far too much free time on my hands to get through at least one this year.

I won't have a job until I get my EMT certification at the beginning of June.

Of course a lot of not finishing seasons also had to do with games having pretty major flaws. Like last year's show it was ridiculously easy to hit so after a month of hitting about .330 as a team I'd get tired of it.

Could you not up the difficulty or tweak the sliders for more of a challenge?

i.e. up the pitch speed giving you less time to react to a pitch?


Offline I've lowered the pitch speed to make it similar to online (since online is a bit slower)....and cause I'm terrible batting vs the CPU.

That's funny. I rape the CPU but have lately been struggling hitting the ball online. lol.

Like I said, this was last year. I tried everything from maxing the pitch speed out to zeroing contact. The timing window was just too big last year.

This year it's better.

I'm currently in a Franchise mode, making it through May, got 10 games to go until June. I also was running a RTTS player, which has gone on the back burner due to my franchise. I play a series a day, like Lanteri I'm also unemployed so I can put time into the game, if I had a job you'd probably get a game a day, at most, lol.

I play in RTTS, and in an online league. Online is much more fun, although I wish the lag wasn't an issue. You can connect flawlessly to some people, and others its nearly impossible to play.
